In this conversation styled talk, singer, songwriter and humanitarian, Di’ja speaks with Mercy Akamo, the organiser of TEDxLagos on simple ways to get people involved in their community which in turn will ensure a better world. Di’ja draws examples from a project she is currently working on in Lagos, Nigeria and shares ways the masses can be educated in non-conventional ways. Hadiza Blell Olo AKA Di’Ja or Aphrodija as fondly called is a recording artiste, songwriter, visual artiste, humanitarian, and entrepreneur.

Born to a Sierra Leonean Father, and a Nigerian mother.

She was raised in Kaduna. Di’ja likes to describe herself as a citizen of the world.

She is a graduate with two international degrees but with an uncommon passion for arts; spoken or written words, pictures and songs.

She is signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and has a lot of great records to her credit. Some of which will include “awww, Amen, Air, Sowemo, Falling for You ft Patoranking, Radio and recently she released her first body of work which is self titled “APHRODIJA”.

Di’ja speaks English, Krio and Hausa fluently. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
