Awesome Tip: 15 Moments That Will Convince You to Finally Get Into the Sports Cards Market

The sportscard culture is back!

The market is super hot right now and it’s so exciting to watch people have fun, get back to their childhood passions, and learn the game of supply/demand and buying/selling.

This is a market that’s growing in demand but doesn’t have more supply. That’s a recipe for opportunity – it’s a big reason why I put over a million dollars into sports cards over other alternatives.

Here are some of my favorite moments from being involved in the hobby for over the past year. Hopefully, this helps you understand why I am going so hard in this space and why I get so much enjoyment out of it… enjoy!

  1. I have seen what Gary has predicted in the past few weeks. I've seen a huge increase in MLB's stars cards from the 80's & 90's. I've seen Darryl Strawberry 1983 & 1984 PSA graded cards double and triple this past month.

  2. Gary Vee is the man!!! Put some "RESPECK" on this man's name. I just sold my BMW and all my jewelry and bought (1,200) Kawhi Refractors in Raptors and Clippers uniforms. My girl just asked me last night can we go to Ruth Chris for her Birthday? I told her no – you get Wendy's and I'm spending the other $200 on a Kawhi Stained Glass Mosaic.

  3. 1st Card Show early 90s
    1st Shop 1991
    1st Online Deal 1992
    2nd shop 1997
lost it in Asian Financial Crisis
    3rd shop 1999
    4th shop 2000
lost it all after 9/11 when
America lost 1000s of card shops
    never to be seen again
    San Diego alone had 150
    2002 went online only
    survived 3 card bubbles
    back again starting over
    with junk wax cases and
    25 years experience 🙂

  4. Gary, you are VERY intelligent and a great sports card investor and asset to the sports card market. Those that don't know much about it should listen to him! Gary, Please, I beg of you, please educate your new investors that BGS 9.5's are still GEM MINT. They should be selling at 70-80% of PSA 10's! The discrepancy is RIDICULOUS right now! There is opportunity in buying BGS 9.5's right now because they are often selling for 50% of what PSA 10's are!!! As someone who has invested in PSA and BGS over the years, I would like to see the market balance out accordingly. It just makes sense! For some reason, too many new investors are under the assumption that a BGS 9.5 is a bad card when they are sometimes actually in better condition than a PSA 10.

  5. flipping cards is just creating another bubble and the last ones left holding the bag are the must vulnerable. Teach youngsters how to sell to businesses. So they can start small service/product companies and market locally.

  6. I love Gary V, but this recent boom in sports cards is largely due to his hype, and a lot of unknowledged people are getting into it just to make a buck. That causes hoarding, retail shortages, and eventually the manufacturers up their production to meet demand since they make nothing off the secondary market. That leads to overproduction, which is what caused sports cards to crash in the mid 90s. I've watched this rodeo before. The only difference this time is the 50 pack of rookie cards will be replaced by graded slabs.

  7. GV, do you see it happening!? So many Human Trafficking Arrests in the last week – Darknet, MS 13 leaders, Ghislaighn Maxwell… do you see it starting GV? WHY is the mainstream media/big tech companies freaking out so much? Descrimination against people who don't wear masks for an statistically manipulated (on multiple levels) "Virus"!? Whats different than the yellow stars jews in germany we're made to wear in ww2 era? Its sick these people who have managed to pull the wool over so many foolish eyes.
