Here is Something You Should See…

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  1. A wonderful insight into the diversity of social entrepreneurial ideas and actions. Thank you for that, I have been playing around with an idea for my own youtube channel, but I couldn't fit it into a category, it won't make me money but it will help some people out.
At first I couldn't see it as being a social endeavor because it wasn't necessarily helping those in the most vulnerable positions of our society.
I suppose I was caught up in the notion that to be a sociel entrepreneur you had to be looking at a global problem related to poverty, after viewing this I can now comfortably see it is ok to see a need within smaller and different demographic of people and offer a solution that isn't for profit is innovative and can solve a need.
Thank you very much TED and Andy for this.
