The Indian growth story post liberalisation gave birth to an entirely new dimension to the idea of social justice. Discussing his co-authored book-“Defying the Odds- The Rise of Dalit Entrepreneurs,” D. Shyam Babu calls for a change in the public discourse around issues of Dalits. Mr. Babu shares several stories of Dalit entrepreneurs who came out of deeply entrenched social hierarchies of Indian society and are illustrating the role of entrepreneurship as an instrument of social mobility.

Author, Researcher, Commentator, Academic. Mr. Babu’s current research focuses on the impact of liberalisation of Indian economy on social mobility. His academic works have created a different narrative story by highlighting the advances made by Dalit entrepreneurs in shaping India’s socio-economic future.

  1. if you are SC/ST read this, if not don't read. Don't feel bad Dalits if OCs treat u ill, for those OC bastards, you should only treat OCs bad and teach them a lesson. Before they treat us bad, we have to treat them bad. Help fellow SC/ST also come up in life. If you are in any selection panel, u select only SC/STs sir. This way we all can be in good position, this is what OCs do. To make at least future generation of SC/STs as beautiful, fair, intelligent make pregnant women at your home eat healthy country fruits, cashews, badam, pista, walnuts, saffron, etc., And don't eat beef, if you are not involved in heavy labour or work. Let's hope for a better future.
