  1. This makes sense if you are going to own a business and you don't mind failing forward (because if you don't know you will fail, alot – and that's ok but it's every bit as expensive as college). Business failures cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
If you want a job, you need a degree. Take it from an entrepreneur who has started several businesses and still owns one today – not having a degree is a considerable hurdle to getting a good job. I have 20+ years in community management, and while people hire me all day long as a consultant, a JOB is almost impossible. Get your degree while you still can.

  2. Ive noticed a lot of hate towards higher education within the comment section. Don't be mistaken. His theory is towards a Business degree in college/University being useless. Not for other degree pathways like accounting, Law or a Verity of Science degrees etc. University/collage is the way to go if you want anything other than being a business guy. Period.

  3. His main argument is that the debt you'll acquire from college isn't worth it. But what about for the kids who have scholarships or just flat out go to community college? If you have the opportunity to further your education without wasting anything but time and energy, should you?

  4. I am currently a business student, accounting to be specific, and this is a load of BS. My cousin sent this to me, trying to diminish the hard work and dedication that I put into my education. There is valuable knowledge and experiences in higher eduction. You can't even take the CPA exam without 225 college credits. Anyone telling you that you can jump straight into business is lying to you and is setting you up to fail. A college degree is security.

  5. Is the ENTIRE world blind to the fact that the guy was a millionaire to start with thanks to his dad? Of course he can tell tell people to quit college. Jesus Christ people, wake the fuck up

  6. said the guy who always sees the doctor who went to college. I agree, though, with this: "don't go to college to fuck off, go to learn a difficult skill that requires a college degree to work in the field. Otherwise, take another path."

  7. Gary is a yes man for young people that dont want to go to college. I studied communications in college, one of the universally least "valuable" degrees around and while i was still in school I started a business doing videography services and fed myself and paid my taxes and paid my heath insurance and paid my rent and paid my car insurance doing this. Did I go to college for video production? no. I learned that in high school and on my own time prior to that. But college taught me about how to integrate that service into a communications strategy, gave me the confidence and education to speak on the topic with authority, and also gave me connections for networking that allowed me to build my portfolio and gain experience that lead to me getting more gigs earlier on that paid my bills. Gary is oversimplifying this, and putting too much of his own bias into the picture. He is lucky that he was able to take on an established 3 MILLION dollar business and grow it. Good for him. But he is misleading you.

  8. Dude, you just hit the nail right on the head! I had to "drop out" 3 times before I understood this truth. I simply couldn't see the "value" in that piece of paper when I'm on my way to becoming a real estate developer. Just don't see it! I've always felt, VERY deeply, what you just said. I know you hear this a lot, but THANKS!

  9. Yo Gary, what about for us in the UK. We get into debt but the government funds it and repaying is fairly easy as they are broken into small segments which come out of your income. It can be managed over a decade fairly easily and debt rises to roughly around £40,000. I want to be an entrepreneur the course is information management, what do you suggest?

  10. Hey Gary, love this vid. thanks for the realness. you say true shit which is why you're better than tony robbins and tai lopez. Basically today i spoke to my friends father who tried to shit on my hopes of getting a certain job because he just wants to keep telling me thats its all about college, and that i wont advance without college. anyway your awesome. God bless
