  1. The one thing that I am struggling with at the moment is a name for my business (this will be my 5th start-up btw). My first business was a software services business called ACS (applied computer services – designing and selling automation software) back in 1984, my last business was called Relyent (reliable enterprise – in the electronics fast turn prototype business in the Silicon Forrest) started in 2000. My current project is designing and manufacturing automotive convenience and personal style products) But I'm struggling – nothing catchy is coming to mind for a business name. Any advice?

  2. I just finished reading #AskGaryVee yesterday. Each chapter provides straight forward insightful tips that allowed me to truthfully assess whether or not I have the hustle and passion and skill to be an entrepreneur. By the way, "…practice the religion of providing value first" is now stuck in my head.

  3. Ok I'm a little confused here…. It seems that everyone is taking this as asking what two qualities we need in order to run a Business…… when the way it's worded is asking what two things we need to ADDRESS in order to run a Business…. which would be what we focus these qualities on…. but nobody seems to be telling anybody their context is wrong… so I'll answer both ways… 🙂

    Personal Qualities
    1. Intuition

    2. Unbiased view of Humanity's tides.

    External Engagement
    1. Cultural progression

    2. Bringing awareness to needs people don't know they need yet suffer from not having.

  4. #QODT Passion and Practicality are the two things you absolutely need to be able to address to run a business. If you are not passionate about something then you can't empathize with other people, the same if you are too over zealous and focused on your own passions. Without practicality you can't focus you passion and align it to meaningful executions or recognize opportunities to scale.

  5. Hell yeah, I'm buying that book. Strategy and Execution interests me more than anything! Great Family GV. I'm about to get married to a girl with an awesome dad. Was your Father-in-law a big mentor for you early on or were you too different? I know that you talk about not having many mentors but did he influence your career in a big way? #QOTD Strategy and Execution!

  6. Peter! Spectacular work! I am surprised the book is so thin. Peter u are a great guest and I think you should be on more. You strive to push yourself everyday. However, after your speech, u really should b boycotted. I don't know who Samantha fox! Punt it.

Two words; feedback & hard work

  7. I've been a bit behind on my AGV episodes and I have been looking forward to seeing what this video is ALL ABOUT.

I love the knowledge that Peter Klein had and very interested in reading the insightful knowledge he has to share with us all.

"The two things you absolutely need to be able to address to run a business:"

    1. Commitment
    2. Communication
