Based at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), Dehua Zhu works at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) on the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment. His current work involves the search for heavy neutral leptons, which are possibly produced during proton collisions in the Large Hadron Collider. Furthermore, during his years of leading a non-profit organization, Dehua Zhu has explored the similarities of scientific discoveries and entrepreneurship. He and his team created the first virtual job fair in Switzerland and ETH’s largest hacker marathon while running a digital job searching platform.

Dehua Zhu has always wondered how he can make decisions in life without regretting them. In this talk he shares one of his discoveries during his research activity at CERN and demonstrates how scientific thinking can guide us on a solid path towards doing the right things. Not only does it illustrate a core value in modern science, but also shows how it can help us do things we will not regret.
