Here’s Great Tip: Entrepreneurial socialism, how business can help the homeless | Lawrence Kenwright | TEDxNorthwich

Here is Something You Should See…

I am driven to a fault, but anchored by my social responsibility. I want people to believe that as a
society we have options that live outside of the
political arena.
Signature Living first began in 2008, when Lawrence Kenwright purchased a single apartment on Victoria Street in Liverpool’s city centre, with a vision to offer guests an unforgettable experience. Expanding this vision across the UK with a focus on preserving some of the UK’s most iconic and historic buildings from dereliction he has developed his heritage hotel portfolio in Cardiff, Belfast, Preston and Manchester.
With a city centre location Lawrence became aware of Liverpool’s sharp incline in homeless people sleeping in the doorways of the city. After Kingsway House homeless shelter was forced to close in February 2018, Signature Living launched The Cotton Street Project. A new homeless shelter designed with a difference.

“I am driven to a fault, but anchored by my social
responsibility. I want people to believe that as a
society we have options that live outside of the
political arena.”

  1. Your reputation is in the gutter Lawrence. You have stolen millions of pounds of other people's money. Your previous business went bankrupt also owing millions. You can try hyping yourself up and some fools will get sucked in by you but if anyone Googles your name or company name all they see is reports from the BBC etc. about you failing to pay back your lenders. You've been making excuses for months to your Loan note lenders. The only way to regain even a gramme of your reputation is pay them back *today*.

  2. I done a 6 weeks training course with signature living and honestly had the most amazing experience and met some off the most nicest people ever!! It was a great opportunity and i learnt so much from them. Most genuine people.Amazing xxx

  3. Powerful words!!!

The title of this talk, gets you thinking straight away. How can two words with such differing points of view come together.

This talk sets out clearly how with the right morals and values you can achieve great things. Being entrepreneurial doesn’t mean you forget where you come from, it enables you to do good things for those less well off.

A true socialist in what he does and how he does it… well done Lawrence, keep up the good work supporting those who are less well off and often have nothing at all.

Imagine what could be achieved if the same morals and values Lawrence owns, were shared by the millionaires!?

  4. I go back on my congratulatory message. I was a Lawrence Kenwright lackey who got duped by his PR hype and empty words. I got duped into loaning money into his hotel developments. He has suddenly sacked his ENTIRE investment team and the two new people now such as Cathy Mirza NEVER pick up the phone or answer your emails. Now he's not paying back hundreds and hundreds of lenders. See news articles about him on the BBC and in newspapers.

I've been duped and will probably never get my money back. Kenwright is like most socialists – his only loyalties are to the unemployed, druggies, alcoholics, criminals and those people who didn't bother to study at school or college. People like me and hundreds of other hard-working lenders he has no qualms of causing extreme distress to by not giving them money back he has loaned from them. Like any other Labour Party advocate his morals are highly questionable and his priority is to take money from hard-workers to syphon off for himself and his hobo buddies.

  5. Hi Lawrence,

  6. I love TED Talks. Liverpool is so lucky to have Lawrence! He has passion, commitment and common sense. He cares about the people he works with and the environment in which he operates. He’s someone who changes people’s lives; not destroys them. He represents a new hope.
