Here’s Great Tip: An Entrepreneur's Journey | Ray Muzyka | TEDxUAlberta
Here is Something You Should See…
As a medical doctor, an entrepreneur co-founding Bioware, and an investor at ThresholdImpact, Dr. Ray Muzyka is no stranger to major career changes. In this compelling and vivid talk, Dr. Muzyka shares the learnings that enabled him to be successful across all three of his career chapters.
Originally trained as a medical doctor, Dr. Ray Muzyka co-founded BioWare, a video game development studio focusing on story and character, in the early 1990s. He practiced Emergency/Family Medicine for two years full time, with medicine transitioning to part-time over the following decade as he focused on his role as BioWare’s CEO. He retired from video games in October 2012, with his third ‘career chapter’ at ThresholdImpact focused on sustainable, profitable impact investing – mentoring and angel investing in information technology, new media and medical innovations with social entrepreneurs. He is an active angel investor and entrepreneurial mentor.

The guy is a legend. The first decade of Bioware spawned classic after classic, still widely played today.
Now he looks kinda awkward standing on that podium, but I don't blame him, I'm no big public speaker either.
This guy wrote Baldur's Gate with his two confounders and a small team (BioWare = because they were doctors…). And it was their first game. I cannot believe that
I think Ray Muzyka is a really good role model for both switching careers and entrepreneurship but this talk is kind of boring. I am more interested about his personal story on Bioware.
accomplished person, horrible motivational speaker.
Immensely inspirational.
