  1. Hey Gary, if you mapped out the steps in starting and growing a business would you say opening a online store as the first step should be standard in the same way that you need to open multiple stores as a step that comes before building a franchise?
I’m curious about thinking how people should look at starting a ‘brick and mirror’ business in the modern age. Is online store nice to have or a necessary step, and should you open a physical location or a online store first.
It’s obvious from a economical point of view, but do you have any other thoughts?

  2. It's crazy that this was a topic on the show. My family owns a chain of cookie stores in Indiana called Blondie's Cookies. The company was started in 1985 by my parents and I think its about time for a rebranding. The product has sold itself, but marketing strategies have been lacking. I would love to help them out but I'm a full time student working on getting my doctorate of physical therapy. The company has gone from one store to several locations in malls in Indiana and I think around 2.5 million in sales annually. My mom was actually on shark tank in season 3 episode 308. We didn't make a deal with any of the sharks, but got great publicity from it. What recommendations do you have for bringing an older family business into the modern market? Love watching the show man!

  3. oh man. total light bulb moment for me +garyvee! I think I have watched at least 80% of the ask Gary V show and I always find inspiration but this one really talked to me. Thanks for your continued time and effort!

  4. Gary, As a young man who is just getting into the real estate game, I don't have the money to buy anything if the market crashes, what do I do? What i'm passionate about will crash and I wont be able to make money in it during the bad times, what would you do?

  5. Investor??!!! No no no! She's doing so well. It's just a little fear. Fuck. I would personally leave Chicago, move a block away from her cookie establishment (even it's her home), and help her every step of the way. I'm a chef who works for himself and I sell products on Amazon. The power of delegation is my life.

  6. Brilliant, I started to put out a lot of content and while Ive lost a few followers Ive gained more. Went from 0 to 175~ followers in 2 weeks. And I love every bit of it because Its just me being original and posting content that I like with my own 2 cents added. Some people definitely don't get it and got burnt out, but I know that the people that follow me are genuinely interested and I also interact with them. Love you GARY!

  7. I'm confused about the photography talk that was present in this episode around the 23 min mark. I have actually been offering companies in my city to shoot for free and never heard anything back and after some back and forth with another guy, he's now decided to ignore me. Another photographer that I wanted to collab with (giving them half of the earnings of the job out of nowhere, went super weird on me wanting me to pay them more money because they'd be losing money going out and shooting with me – even tho they had no work booked.). I am at a loss with the recent events trying to collaborate and give so much value. I've given so much of my photography without any need or request for credit (over 1million downloads via So confused but I will keep pressing forward and try and give value where and when I can.
