  1. I'm 18 years old and putting in the work daily to be a freelancer WORK WORK started March 27th. I left all my high school friends no girlfriends straight work on it and If today was the last day of my life I would do this WORK STUDY BUILD

  2. A study by the BLS shows that the average worker gets in less than 3 hours of productivity in a 9 hour work day. if you're super super productive, you can get like 6-7. So stop with this work 18 hours a day nonsense, it's not good for you and no one, not even bill gates, does it!!

  3. I watched my cousin do the same. 12 years he slept on a mattress on the floor (only furniture he had). Worked three part time jobs. Fucking working. Drove a beat up 77 ford forever!! Always had to jump start him and shit. 2 years ago he bought a 20,000 car cash. Took no vacation days for 12 years. 3 PART TIME JOBS (UPS, Mcdonalds, and Sears). And is financially better off than most of his classmates. I get it now. Thanks for sharing man.

  4. I know you say you enjoy the hustle and the struggle, but did you ever have fears about dropping everything and grinding? How did you deal with having multiple passions and how did you properly allocate your time and invest it in the "right" passion?

  5. Gary never says you have to follow his exact same path, he even says at the end you could still be successful just putting in 50% of the effort he did. I think its just nice to appreciate his style of life, and take what you want from it and mold it with yours. If it motivates you it motivates you. Thanks Gary!

  6. Gary is making an excellent point, I feel like a lot of comments are taking him very literal.
I think the point was that no matter what he was going to achieve what HE wanted while growing up. We're all different and we can put in the "work" within a lot of different environments in life. If it's putting in the "work" with your kids, social life, etc. You'll drop and should drop everything to achieve the goals you want to have , ya know ?

  7. Gary, you and Casey Neistat are part of the reason why I am where I am today!  When this year started I was working a DEAD END job in Texas and now I am working in DREAM JOB in California making more $$$ than in Texas,  if you throw in the side jobs I've been doing since I've moved here it's even MORE!!!I'll be making a video very soon to document my journey so far!    THANK YOU SO MUCH Gary, for your enthusiasm, your hustle and the inspiration you've given me.   I remember watching a particular speech of yours a while back and it lit a fire in my a$$ (In a good way :P) and I am MILES ahead of where I was at the beginning of the year!

  8. Gary, you continue to inspire me. I've just recently come across your content, and your words hit me in a very visceral way. No sugar coating is refreshing. I would love to get a chance to sit down with you, over a cup of coffee, and talk about some ideas that I feel can be game changers.
