This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Maneesh Garg runs a multi-million dollar company in Nigeria. But his story has not always been spectacular. In this talk, he speaks about being arrested, detained, duped and losing billions of Naira. His talk would attract would-be entrepreneurs.
Maneesh Garg was born on 29th April 1971 in Nairobi Kenya. His family moved to Nigeria in 1975 and he did his early schooling in Lagos. Later on he went to the UK for further studies and obtained his degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Oxford, UK. Subsequently He obtained his Master’s Degree in Economics at the North Western University, US. He had a brief stint at the World Bank, Washington DC before coming back to Nigeria in order to pursue his life long dream of entrepreneurship.
