A student activity managed to become a real social entrepreneurship that seeks to bring science to life for young Egyptians because they believe such an experience will cultivate in them the self-confidence, creativity, resourcefulness, and teamwork desperately needed to drive a new Egypt. Mohammed talks about the idea, the journey and how it is possible to create something big from a simple idea.

Mohamed is a social entrepreneur who founded Competition for Robot Design (CORD) that challenges groups of young people to create a robot that moves utilizing only the everyday materials littering their homes or communities and very low cost store-bought items, if necessary. Mohammed aims to reform the Egyptian education through his company.
Mohammed is an Ashoka fellow “Global Organization of Social entrepreneurs” in the field of education enhancement. He has been working in the science communication field since 2007. He is also an MIT pan Arab Alumni, a Synergos Fellow and a finalist in Forbs 30 under 30.
