Here’s Great Tip: The Future of Female Entrepreneurship: Girlhood Pipeline | Catherine Smith | TEDxBethuneStreetWomen
Here is Something You Should See…
How does someone become an entrepreneur – and why?
How can we help women become entrepreneurs? If we’re thinking about how to empower women to lead
purposeful, driven, and forward looking professional and personal lives, we need to look back in time to understand how we can actively engage the potential of girls. In order to support a future full of female entrepreneurs, we have to build a pipeline from girlhood. Catherine Smith is an e-commerce entrepreneur and retail and luxury goods marketing strategist.
In 2014 she founded Plan de Ville (plandevillenyc.com), the online destination for luxury fashion by emerging designers.
She holds a Masters in Fashion Studies from Parsons the New School for Design and is currently completing an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she is enrolled in their Executive MBA program.
She communicates with her dedicated audience on Instagram (@catherinepdv and @plandeville) about career and style.
Catherine received the Rising Star Award in Retail from the Fashion Group International and has been featured in Forbes, as one of Nasdaq’s Faces of Entrepreneurship, The Coveteur, Women’s Wear Daily, and Harper’s Bazaar. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at

This woman inspire me so much
I agree with almost everything you said here, but I don't see why you seem to think this only applies to girls. These ideas should be applied towards all children everywhere regardless of gender, ethnicity, or whatever other category that they might fit in.
