Francis Ekii is the Founder of Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge, a program in Uganda which seeks to identify young entrepreneurs and equip them with additional training to cope with the business and entrepreneurial world. Francis, a 2013 Global Teen Leader, spoke briefly about the inspiration behind his founding of the project, and his belief that youth entrepreneurship is indeed the way forward.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
