Fadi Ghandour talks about Ruwwad “Entrepreneurs for Development”, an alternative regional private sector-led model for development, that aims at overcoming marginalization of communities, the private sector and governments by crafting partnerships across sectors and empowering communities through youth activism, civic engagement, and education.

Fadi Ghandour is Founder and CEO of Aramex, one of the leading logistics and transportation companies in the Middle
East and South Asia, and the first company from the Arab world to go public on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Fadi is passionate about social entrepreneurship. He is founder of Ruwwad for Development, a private sector-led initiative engaging youth to empower disadvantaged communities. Fadi is a Founding Partner of Maktoob, the world’s largest Arab online community recently acquired by Yahoo!. Between 2003 and 2005, he was the Middle East and North Africa Area Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Fadi serves on the Boards of: Business for Social Responsibility, National Microfinance Bank Jordan, Abraaj Capital, Endeavor Jordan, and S.S. Olayan School of Business at the AUB.
