Here’s Great Tip: Social Entrepreneurship: Turning weaknesses into strengths | Perrine Schober | TEDxTUWien
Here is Something You Should See…
Perrine Schober is the founder of SHADES TOURS, a social tourism business that offers walking city tours in Vienna guided by homeless people to engage society on the topic of homelessness and poverty.
In her talk, Perrine explains how our society simplifies and polarizes life in black and white rather than embracing its multi-faceted shades of complexity and opportunity.
Taking a social entrepreneurship approach, we can create innovative businesses that create employment opportunities for marginalised groups, such as the elderly, refugees, disabled and/or homeless people.
Perrine Schober is the founder of SHADES TOURS, Vienna’s unique social business employing homeless people to become alternative tour guides. The 33-year-old businesswoman studied Tourism Management in Germany and worked for different NGOs, consultancies and multilateral organisations, before launching her own social innovation.
