Full title: The Fine Line Between Failure and Success: Life Lessons from an Accidental Entrepreneur
Recorded April 18, 2014
After nearly thirty years of walking around with this “tough as nails” exterior…mistakenly believing that appearing to be confident somehow was going to make me feel successful, I have only just recently realized that to succeed…to truly succeed, I have to find the courage to let my guard down and just be me.
Jennifer Case is a founder and Chief Executive Officer of New Leaf Biofuel, a San Diego biorefinery that converts discarded french fry oil to biodiesel, a sustainable alternative to petroleum diesel. Jennifer serves on the board of directors for several industry trade association groups, and spends much of her time lobbying on her industry’s behalf in Sacramento and Washington DC. Jennifer has an undergraduate degree from University of California San Diego and a law degree from Pepperdine University.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
