Here’s Great Tip: How to Inspire Social Integration Through Shared Co-creation | Jordan Patel | TEDxAstonUniversity
Here is Something You Should See…
Jordan Patel is a social entrepreneur from Birmingham. His personal story is one that reflects the experience of many second-generation ethnic minorities in the UK. Growing up, he found himself trying to both fit in with the majority and maintain a relationship to his own background as a minority. Having not just lost his own way, but seeing his friends get caught up in the wrong crowds too, he took it upon himself to reconsider not only how he thought of his own identity, but how we collectively create identities as a society. His own business, art.quarter, is a revolutionary new complex looking to provide a space in which people from all backgrounds can come together. Through food, art, music, fashion and business, Jordan believes that we can encourage the creation of a new, shared identity. One in which people feel a sense of togetherness and belonging as a community, as well as a pride in their own individual history. Jordan Patel is a social entrepreneur who wants to address the divides in society that he has both lived through personal experience and continues to see around him. He sees it as his mission to prevent others from making the same mistakes he has, by sharing his story and helping others to find a voice and sense of belonging. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at

Thank you Jordan for this video. It is absolutely true and it is a financial segregation that has created the racial divide between all races. Remove the cost of everything and all will be equal.
