An avid advocate for civic engagement, environmental stewardship and youth empowerment, Rohan is a grade 12 student at Strathcona Composite High School. In addition to being the Director of Operations and Research for the Student Voice Initiative, he is an inaugural member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Network (Edmonton hub), the Gen Y Inc. 1000 AB Talent Network and the Startup Edmonton Student Advisory Council. Rohan constantly strives to support and start new youth-led social ventures.
His TEDx talk will be focused on encouraging Edmonton’s younger generations to start thinking about entrepreneurship, innovation and the audacity of creativity.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
