Orly discusses how her professional and personal expertise as an event organizer helped her spearhead a worldwide research effort towards finding a cure for APBD (a genetic enzyme deficiency disorder) and related rare orphan diseases. Orly Shani is CEO and President of Oscar4b, an international event management firm, working with governments, banks and the private sector. Her life changed the day she was diagnosed with APBD – an orphan disease, affecting only some 160 people worldwide.
