  1. Garyyy Loveeee hearing about the investment and congrats. I was always curious if you were in this space or not. I have some thoughts though being someone who has played and kept up with video games constantly since I was 4 years old (Im 29 now). I see why you think COD is a good investment for you as it has been the biggest first person shooter over the past 5-7 years. Problem I think you should think about though is that COD has lost a lot of mojo over the past 2 years. Something like PUBG or Fortnite is the future man. Unfortunately these games are not setup well for team matchmaking. Maybe this year and next COD will be viable, but I highly suggest you look for the new game opportunity to invest in for E Sports that has more of a future. CyberPunk for example will be the next hottest game coming out. Not sure if it is going to have online multiplayer or not, and of course games can flop in some way or another, but I would check into it. Overwatch is another dying game, but they are more for a younger demographic and not for first person shooter players. I will agree though that COD is inherently a cultural game in this country. It was first Madden, then HALO took over, then COD took over. Those three were the alpha male gamer culture for years. I am sure you know all this already, but just wanted to say I am super excited to see you get more involved in this space Gary. VR is the next big thing as well. Once a legit First person shooter comes out for that there will be a new cultural wave coming.

  2. Gary vee is a great visionary and long term strategist but it will be interesting to see if this call of duty play wins out. When I was a kid mortal Kombat and street fighter ruled. it can be difficult to know which game will be generational.

  3. The future of YouTube streaming in regards to eSports is to have a new set of features that the other platforms don't currently have. Many of us this last weekend noticed that the first day of matches was not the easiest to follow along to as the CoDcasters found their way around the new controls. Luckily they were extremely responsive to the community's reactions and by Sunday things were near perfect in terms of camera angles. With that said, I think within the next 2 years we have the ability to switch between players and various cameras, toggle on screen HUD items etc.
That interactivity will undoubtedly drive viewership and engagement.
