  6. It’s so interesting to see how good Gary is at the “meta” game like we see w/ 1st woman on his left. He immediately read how closed and focused on convincing others she was (which btw, is exactly what’s she trying to do here w/ Gary) and he adjusted his style in how he communicated w/ her. Fascinating to watch…..

  13. Thank you for this. There are some things that I have been saying in my content that sounds just like this. My problem is that I think that a lack of major success that is evident to all has held me back.

    I commit to not doing that anymore. I am going to speak my truth irrespective of what other people have to say about it. Period. I love the content that I am producing and I think that if people were to just listen to it, it could really help them navigate some tough situations and it could help those who have already made it. In that it will help them to remember how they got there!

NOTE TO PPL: when you're seeking answers, cut your story down to a FIVE sentences (or less), and your question to ONE. it helps the listener be clear about what you're asking, without having to sift through a long ass story, and helps you focus in on what you really want to know. this is why we hear GV rush ppl along when they're giving backstory, bc it's hard to sit through long scenarios and narratives that won't change the answer.

  23. Gary, thanks for posting this group. Very honest, and actionable advice anybody no matter what stage of business they are in can implement without spending a lot of money. My favorite quote during the session was "who can hold their breath the longest," you are like a boxing trainer for all of us getting into the ring.

  30. Thank you for this video, but honestly you were super rude to the vegan woman, wouldn't let her finish a sentence, and shut her topic down with your own close-mindedness.

    You definitely had some valid points, but you wouldn't give her a chance to do the same.

    As you said, maybe you're both right. You just want people to be nice to people-
    ….But if you are what you eat- then eating the products of violence, blood, hate, and cruelty can't be doing great things for human relations.

Listening to the "Real estate" Women..makes me kinda angry, i dislike people who are so convinced about that they will have success, that they don't want to discuss failure or listen to a backup plan..because thinking oh wow, people do this and get rich? I will do the same, but than see the work..and the struggle behind it. IT MIGHT BE SIMPLE, But it ain't easy.

  36. 10:41 See this is where I disagree. "I made a 200 million dollar business but I didn't pay anybody at first". Not everyone has the luxury to have people work for them for free because "they just trust you", nobody is stupid enough to do that today. And I wouldn't expect them to be, I would want to hire smart workers.

How can Gary say that Specialisation doesn't work when he was a specialist himself first (dominating Wine industry), then he started branching out into general biz advice with his old videos on biz which he leveraged that into speaking, then into Vaynermedia and then he leveraged brand into other opportunities. He couldn't have started all other stuff without first having learned business lessons and life lessons in Wine Library. So specialising was pretty crucial.

    Now he can go and be 'scattered' because he has ton of leverage in brand, team and money. Which is completely different circumstances than someone who has never started a business.
