Awesome Tip: Self-Awareness Part 2: The Key to Success

Everyone who watches this has one weakness they are aware of. Something they aren’t good at. Something they haven’t addressed. Everyone. That is the beginning of the process of self-awareness.

One of the most important things for me when it comes to running a team is making everyone feel safe. Because when people feel safe, they start telling the truth. And that is an enormous upside in running a business. If everyone can be honest with themselves, be truthful about who they actually are versus who they want to be, that is when the magic happens.

This video speaks to all of that, and more. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know in the comments what you think, and would love to hear your story about self-awareness.

  1. I know that I love people and I know that I am really terrible with number details ( ironically work in accounting ) I would LOVE to be a part of a team/company that LOVESSSSSS their customer and does craaazy good stuff to let them know how valuable they are…. Gary.. you are an amazing example of that empathetic caring… love you for it.

  2. I'm bad at not checking my f**** social blade every 2 hours to see how many subscribers I have. I'm bad at not caring how many dollars I have in my bank account. I'm to oriented about how high I've climbed the mountain instead of enjoying the climb

  3. #ASKGARYVEE Was @GaryVee foreshadowing(1:51) the present environment when back in 2015, this was captured on video as he's walking into Trump Tower: "…you're going to have to look a lot of shit in the face that you're not going to like…"
"..you need to tell me the truth…"

  4. I'm a people-pleaser and it is my greatest weakness. It can be my greatest strength because I know how to make people feel loved, happy and strong but I also let them eat me alive and become susceptible to everything they judge and criticize about me. I want to do good for people and create value for people without giving a dam when they criticize me. I've tried to do good on many occasions and have let people shoot me down (no more good). What is your advice for me? #ASKGARYVEE

  5. Thank you Gary. I have been trying to be someone I am not for way too long. I know damn well what I am good at and I sure as shit know what I suck at. I am gonna double down on my strengths and kick some ass. Thank ya man I appreciate it.
