I started a super smash brothers melee club back in high school where I went around to a bunch of goodwills and bought old tvs for a dollar each and had people donate their gamecubes and controllers. It was the most janky setup for a club, but it became the most popular club at our school. I lost a lot of money, but it was the only thing I really hold on to from high school.
Gary or or support team or whoever will see this 1st, i want you to know im blowing you up on all fronts because this message is that important. I have a confession. the thing i aspire to do im not currently good enough at and I'm aware that in the time limit it'll take me to get good at it, a lot of people will die- LITERALLY IM NOT PLAYING KEEP READING- if i don't attempt what I'm doing now. Gary your better at marketing than me. I wanna market for nonprofits because in my dreams for world peace im certain that charity is going to need to be marketed/ advertised better than sex, money, and cars. The nonprofit's like make a wish, st jude, and the ymca I've tried to get to let me do their social media marketing aren't convinced a rookie like me can get it done. Admittedly they're right. But they're wrong to tell you that. Money aside because the value given is much better, can you take up my cause and market for these nonprofits? because they're fucking terrible at it. Kids are literally dying because the charities don't know how to raise money efficiently which causes them to say no to ppl they should say yes to. What i've learned so far in the smma2.0 from tai lopez has made that hyper obvious to me.
In the next crash I’m buying real estate!
How the fuck does this video only have 51K views? Shit, I've been looking for the Gary Vee Sales video for ages. Love it.
QOTD, it has meant my world gary!
"Stop making (life) so transactional!" I love that quote @garyvee. It is exactly how I live my life. Story/QOTD: 50% of my clients have come from exactly that. Just being a friend to someone in need. Offering them free advice and support over time that was real value and not "3/5 points and you have to pay me for the other 2". Giving them my all!!! With no other aim other than just caring for their outcome. And that continues to bring me more and more clients.
"You should not eat for a year.. but not die." Lol those type of comments make me smile so much. Love ya Gary
Qotd: came out to help my neighbor shovel snow
I helped Someone to Find their goals and take action with it. It cost me a lot of time but I am happy when I make a smile on someone's face
hey
I'm on it. Just started, I'm about 4 weeks that began to execute it.
She is cute
#QOTD :
I love giving someone value!
Thank you for the information!! It's soooooo extremely helpful!! GRACIAS!!!
I give as much as I can to my brother. Hopefully that has a great effect on the world.
What's the book called again?
I've been using Periscope to deliver value lately. It's really fun when someone finds something valuable, takes action, and then thanks me later. Parenting is hard – anything I can say or do or offer to make it easier for someone else means the world to me.
The thank you economy was the first book I bought of yours. Great book!
eating or lifts must be off because after 18months of lifting everyday you should be shredded.
literally moved to texas from NC, with clothes on back and a car. Hustle up delivered pizzas, worked at jasons deli, then work at a apartment office on weekends. THEN got a real estate license and started company that cleaned the SAME apartments. YOu can do it its possible i only worked 3 part time jobs for 1 year and then was completely able to live great because of it. you have to be flexible and this is why getting to a new city changes you…you have more time. why working those multiple jobs MET with Immigrants in texas who were RIDICULOUS wealthy, homes paid off, cars paid off, kids going to college FOR FREE. DECIDE COMMIT HUSTLE. MEET with other entrepreneurs go to meetups, happy hours and conferences.
Instead of watching junk TV when I eat, I watch this and learn a little somethin', somethin. The ways we improve ourselves.
Answer to QOTD: I give value by commenting on people's posts and engaging with the author or community. I LOVE when anyone comments on my pieces – I get that extra shot of seratonin. So I figured why not do the same for other blogs or channels who put their strategies, and heart, out on their sleeve.
It could mean to my world, a guest post down the line.
Another fun show. Thanks guys!
My entire YouTube channel strategy was built around, how can I provide heaps of value for my audience. I didn't know what I was going to create/sell/offer I just knew that I had a bunch of crap that people would find useful so I decided to share it.
That strategy alone as transformed my life and taken me from losing cash to making my first $1,000 in less than 4 months.
Keep it up man, love it.
What I did: For a while I got into searching out for people having a bad day on tweetdeck with some key terms and would just reach out to them and reassure them that happiness was right around the corner and that new and great things were headed back their way soon.
What it meant to my world: It taught me new dimensions of humility. Being able to make that reach when you're in your own storm is a powerful formula to learn; it really adds some perspective. Good karma happened too as a result, but the process was more interesting to me than anything; and that made it even more interesting.
#QOTD: Taking care of my in-laws. They live on our property and are recovering from cancer – both financially and health-wise. Even though we are vastly, vastly different people in age, culture and values, I've learned how important it is to be a good listener. It's been about three years now since they moved in.
Thank You Economy still my fave book. Bought about 50 copies for those who reported through me at last job – to illustrate why our strategy was so important. Great stuff Gary
Time to eat some shit!
I filled someones red meter who was going to get a ticket and it made it on the news.. https://youtu.be/-4up3o5mcO0
Good show.
Hi Dani, welcome to being hated by all of the India lovers
Just bought your books! You deliver great value consistently through your videos and I look forward to learning more about your strategies and thought patterns in your books.
Loved your answer to the sales consultant for Best Buy. That was a super dope answer. I heard that before from somewhere else, but it is a good reminder again. Thanks.
Gary you hit so many notes here! thank you!!!!
This video had perfect timing. Been awhile since I watched the show and this episode reminded me that I need to tune in more. I am giving value right now, this week, today actually and I am expecting no transaction back. I believe in what I'm doing and that good things (transactions) will come down the line. My goal is to just hustle with free coaching sessions to as many Working Moms as possible. All the goodness that I'm putting out there, whole-heartedly, honestly, audaciously, and
authenticity will return in some form. I have faith and I love surprises. So… I'm off! Thanks for the show, Gary!!
Shoulders looking swoll, Gary. Looks like the weightlifting plan is working!
i help ppl get in shape. Some became very good friends and that's awesome.
Helping strangers makes from strangers friends. 😉 Cheers!
Hey Gary, thanks for the kickass show!! First off, must second that Danielle NEEDS to stay on the show, she did well!! Also, I DID NOT KNOW YOU WORKED WITH THE NHL?!?! That's sick dude, especially because I'm a hockey player!!
QOTD: The last time I deployed a long period of time I provided value to somebody else was when I was able to train my friends, Laura, Payton, & Nick for free; programming their fitness programs, writing diet plans, and motivating them and being accountable for FREE for about 4 months in the offseason while Nick was getting ready for Baseball, Payton for Cross Country, and Laura for Soccer, hoping I could be a good friend and just give my knowledge and add value to help them be better athletes. NOW all of them are paying me for it, more than what I expected. Needless to say, I have awesome friends 🙂
Thanks for the great video gary, and a great #QOTD, I look forward to reading the comments.
The foundation of my business is on providing free value to people, I teach artists how to paint environments and backgrounds for animation. This started with a youtube channel where I produce consistent value for people, but I think the REAL VALUE comes into play when people reach out to me, I encourage people to send me emails, comments or private messages and once they do I try to enter into an engaging and personal conversation with them, this takes up a good portion of my time but people really feel special, and I know they will stay in my corner.
In my world of online art education there is a lot of prerecorded video in which a customer buys a video from a noted artist and that is the end. I want to make sure the student has a platform to talk about what they learned with peers and mentors.
Thanks for the great video.
