A FAR MAJORITY OF YOU ARE ONLY IN THE RIGHT HOOK BUSINESS WHEN IT COMES TO ENGAGEMENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA. WHICH MEANS YOU ARE ONLY TRYING TO SELL. YOU HAVE TO CREATE GREAT CONTENT AND PUT OUT VALUE UP FRONT BEFORE YOU CAN ASK FOR SOMETHING.

Here’s how I can tell if you’re hustling: I put in work.

When I go look at your Twitter account, or our Instagram account, I click on your posts. I will look at all of them. For example, go to a Twitter account and click on “view all with replies” at the top. For mine, if you just go to the normal page on desktop, you’ll just see the tweets I send out. And you might think, oh Gary is putting out a lot of content. BUT click the “and replies” at the top. All of a sudden, you get a much deeper picture of what I’m doing on Twitter: engaging with my community.

So when I get pissed with all of you, it’s because I’m looking at Twitter accounts of the people that engage with me to see if you’re doing the same. I get a good sense of how that person operates.

I’m looking for solid engagement, retweeting, talking to others.
