Awesome Tip: #1 LIFE HACK for Motivation & Happiness | A Gary Vaynerchuk Original

If you want to have a successful mindset and the winner’s mentality in general, you NEED to get in your own head. You can’t make all of your decisions completely predicated on what someone else thinks about you. You are letting your mom, your uncle, your best friend, or your neighbor hold you back right now when their thoughts and opinions should have nothing to do with you.

  2. So basically he's advising us to not listen to the opinions of family and close friends. They might be right, though, and there is no a priori reason to think your opinion is more true than the others. It all depends on the facts and he's telling us to ignore them in favour of our opinion, if they don't convene our goals. Not a very good advice in my view. Of course you shouldn't let other people's opinion dictate what you do, but you might want to take it into account because again: they might know better in some instances.

He also suggests that we should get rid of friends that are "negative". In my experience, when someone uses this term, he's just unable to accept criticism (takes it too personally) and labels annyone who criticises himself or his ideas as "negative". Also, I don't think it helps in the development of your personality if you avoid conflicts with your friends and cut ties instead. Quite the opposite. You will reduce diversity in character around you and get caught in a bubble. It's what happens to many successfull entrepreneurs: They only accept people that are no danger to their percieved integrity around them. Thus they lose touch with the reality of the great majority of people and start to think they have achieved everything themselves, when it was actually the "negative" people who settled in in a boring job that earned the money for them – combined with a lot of luck and of course some of their own hard work (but how much harder than a construction worker who does 10 hours of hard labour a day can a manager really be working? Not that much, I suspect.).

He's the typical Zuckerberg/Musk/Trump type: They categorice Humanity into winners (euphemistically called "positive people") and losers ("negative people") and follow their vision ruthlessly without any thoughts about those who fall by the wayside. Such a simplistic worldview. And such a convenient one for narcissist characters who's greatest skill is to blind the gullible with plattitudes … Or did I miss some ground breaking thing this man has done? I don't think so. Just another guy who thinks he knows it all because he's made more money than most people.

PS: I wonder how fast someone in here will label me as negative because I utter criticism.

PPS: Ask yourself, why he's telling you exactly what you think you need to hear. Might it have something to do with making money off of you? You sholdn't forget that he comes from a marketing background and is neither an expert in general psychology nor the Human Condition nor developmental psychology. But he's an expert in the psychology of seducing people into buying his stuff (which I don't think is a bad thing, it's an honest job, you just shouldn't forget that he doesn't do this because he wants to help anyone out of good will, but rather because he wants you to buy his books).

  3. Gary said we shouldn't worry about other persons opinion about ourselves, right. I am not worrying about others opinion about me. My fucking mind tells me shit, and I believe that one of the persons Gary was referring to. Fuck my mind.

  4. Garry is the man! i really love your videos it motivates me and inspire on what i do on daily lives i even created a channel to make viewers happy to hope i can follow your footsteps and hope you can make more people happy on your vids looking forwawrd that you will notice it im just starting my youtube channel and i only have 250+ subs but as long as you make people happy i will too love your channel great content! 🙂

  5. So is Gary suggesting to leave the losers, the negative people lost in a world where they can't get out of because they feel everything is put on them. That we should just leave those who are always pessimistic just because they don't know how to be happy. I just think that it is not right to ditch the negative people in the world.
